The Office … replacement set, Nov. 2018, ebay, $35.50 … donated my original to college book sale, April 2017 … After trying to watch on tv, with commercials, couldn’t stand it … found great ebay deal … one of three tv series I’d take to a desert isle … Update, April 20, 2021: purchased s9 (final season) … but not s8, with new CEO, Robert California (James Spader) … so smugly despicable … SO important to have DVDs in the flighty streaming universe … What disappeared from Netflix, January 2021? … The Office, of course

Saturday, April 25, 2015, 12:56 pm — Never thought I’d really do this … I was ready to downsize my DVD collection … After I moved everything out of the way for carpet cleaning, 1st day of spring break (free with last October’s lease renewal) … all that empty space was feng shui-ishly liberating … want to keep it that way.

Easiest first choices were purchases in the past 2 years, bought in haste (late at night!) … then realized I had no emotional connection when they arrived.

Donated to the college book sale, last Wednesday-Friday, student center:

• The Guilt Trip, 2012 – Barbara Streisand
• *Midnight in Paris, 2011 – dir. Woody Allen
• *Moonrise Kingdom, 2012 – dir. Wes Anderson
• Charlie Chan Collection, 1932-1937 – 11 with Warner Oland (kept The Black Camel, 1931 … the first and best … filmed in Hawaii, great cinematography)

• *The Borgias – Jeremy Irons – complete – seasons 1-3
• Everybody Loves Raymond, 1996 – season 1
• *The Golden Girls, 1985-1987 – season 1-*2
• My Name Is Earl, 2005 – season 1
• Newhart, 1982 – season 1
• *The Waltons, 1971-1973 – seasons 1-2

Those with an asterisk * were sold within the first few hours … Went to check at 11:00 am, Wednesday.
